Job Overview

Silfab Solar is a leading automated solar panel manufacturing facility in North America, dedicated to reducing carbon emissions and improving access to clean energy. We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team of experts who are shaping sustainable solutions.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality control of products and processes, performing control on the status of the quality management system, and developing processes, test procedures, and implementing systems that meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality controls and Standard Work Instructions (SWI's) in cooperation with the management team.
  • Monitor and analyze variations in scrap products and raw materials, define corrective actions, and lead root cause/corrective action activities.
  • Continually support and train Quality Technicians, Lead Hands, and Production Operators on SWI's, Quality, and Process issues.
  • Create statistical analysis and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished products.
  • Monitor and suggest improvements to the Leadership Team on production recipes and implement approved improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or Physics-related field.
  • Minimum one or more years of experience in a quality role, with experience substitutable for education.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/JIT, Six Sigma methodologies, and Total Quality fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of SPC/FMEA, reading Blueprint/GD&T drawings, and proficiency in Excel and advanced data analysis software.
