We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a faith-based and patient-focused organization, we are committed to enhancing the health and well-being of all people in mind, body, and spirit.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement recreational therapy programs for residents with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
- Schedule and lead group activities that meet the physical, spiritual, cognitive, and psychosocial needs of residents.
- Evaluate activity effectiveness and resident responses in meeting individualized goals.
- Create and distribute neighborhood activity calendars to residents, families, and staff.
- Eligibility for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional.
- 2 years of experience in a full-time, therapeutic program within the last 5 years.
- Qualification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or OT assistant.
- Completion of a State-approved training course.
