Job Description:
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to work in a collaborative environment with a primary care medical team.

This full-time position involves 32 hours of patient-seeing time, with an additional eight hours dedicated to administrative work.

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will function as a clinical leader, providing direct patient care and services as a resource for other staff in guiding decision making, implementing treatment plans and improving comprehensive patient care.


The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will:
Provide psychiatric evaluations and determine diagnoses.
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
Work collaboratively with case management, counseling and primary care medical staff.
Have the opportunity to be involved with either individual or group-based MAT treatment services.
