We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at the Riverview Psychiatric Center in Augusta, Maine. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care to a small caseload of adult patients experiencing serious mental illness.

Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and achieving positive clinical outcomes. You will have the freedom to spend ample time with your patients, ensuring they receive the best possible treatment and support.

As a Psychiatrist at our center, you can expect a competitive compensation package, a regular weekday schedule with daytime hours, and the option to work a traditional 5-day workweek or compressed 4-day workweek. You will also receive generous time off for vacation, personal, sick, CME, and holidays, as well as financial and administrative assistance with relocation and licensing if needed.

We are a center for best practice, treatment, education, and research, serving individuals with serious, persistent mental illness, and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Our hospital is operated by the State of Maine's Department of Health and Human Services, and we work collaboratively with Liberty Healthcare.

To be a good fit for this position, you should possess the following attributes:

  • Residency training and/or Board Certification in Psychiatry
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Maine (or willing to apply for a Maine medical license)
  • Compassion and commitment to providing high-quality psychiatric care to people living with serious mental illness
