We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Administrator to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing operational oversight and leadership throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assign available personnel and assess triage assignments to ensure effective patient care.
- Plan and coordinate staffing needs for the next shift and assess needs for the following shift.
- Role model interprofessional communication and leadership skills to foster a positive and respectful work environment.
- Conduct fair and consistent leadership to promote effective team dynamics and teambuilding strategies.
- Coordinate and expedite the admission/discharge, transfer, and bed control process to optimize patient flow.
- Monitor and facilitate smooth and timely patient flow to ensure process efficiency.
- Provide bed assignments support as needed with designee.
- Oversee the activity in hospital operations during their shift.
- Manage administrative issues effectively and inform and document pertinent information to Executive On Call, executive staff, directors, and managers.
- Participate in and/or lead and facilitate department process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing.
- Five years hospital experience in nursing; for HM internal, four years experience in nursing which includes HM performance that demonstrates progressive leadership abilities.
- Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
- Basic Life Support (AHA) and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) within 90 days.
- Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification within 1 year.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in leadership roles and team management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in the workplace.
