Key Responsibilities:

Safety remains the foremost priority in all positions at Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate the capability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and cleanliness standards consistently.

This role will support Nucor Harris Rebar's Sales team.

OBJECTIVE:
Assist in sales activities, including but not limited to, engaging with customers through phone inquiries, pricing discussions, sales proposals, and preparing contract documentation.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

• Adhere to Nucor Harris Rebar's safety programs and standards.

• Exhibit conduct aligned with Nucor Harris Rebar's vision and values.

• Manage daily bid/Dodge lists; generate Dodge reports; review selected Dodge reports, incoming transmittals, and plans from clients; track bid assignments to estimators.

• Process retail sales orders through the computer system, discussing retail sales orders with clients, providing pricing details, and securing orders by addressing the immediate needs of customers.

• Assist in the preparation of sales bids and project quotations alongside estimator/sales personnel.

• Follow up on jobs that have been quoted by contacting clients to ascertain the status of the project (e.g., Has it been awarded? If not, was the quotation acceptable?).

• Prepare the contract routing sheet for secured jobs, enter it into the computer system, and distribute it to detailers to ensure they have the necessary information (e.g., any special requests from the client) to meet customer requirements.

• Serve as a backup and provide support to other members of the sales support team.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • High school diploma, GED, or state/local equivalent.
Detailed Selection Criteria:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two-year technical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry.
