Description: As a Logistics Support Specialist, your duties will include:
  • Managing and documenting the receipt, packaging, movement, shipping, and storage of company and government assets in accordance with established protocols.
  • Acting as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for your section as needed.
  • Possessing a comprehensive understanding of technical supply management functions.
  • Ensuring accuracy in daily documentation and record-keeping.
  • Utilizing the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system for necessary updates and documentation.
  • Assisting with governmental procurement processes for materials and assets to meet contractual obligations.
  • Overseeing property accountability and management, including tracking movements, calibrations, and audits.
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies effectively.
  • Collaborating with buyers, property teams, and item managers as required.
  • Demonstrating analytical skills to identify issues, gather data, and recommend actions based on established guidelines.
  • Engaging with government representatives as necessary.
  • Preparing documentation for various audits, both internal and external.
  • Operating material handling equipment as required.
  • Training both new and existing team members on operational procedures.
  • Encouraging cross-training opportunities within the team.
Position Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of supply systems, policies, and operational guidelines.
  • Proficient in Oracle for processing government materials.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with COGNOS reporting tools.
  • Understanding of GDLS processes and military technology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve material discrepancies.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with other supply chain professionals.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) related to government property.
  • Willingness to travel as required for operational support.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
  • Experience coordinating operations between government and GDLS personnel.
