Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Youth Development is responsible for leading the development and implementation of youth programs and services at the Greater Somerset County YMCA. This includes overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement youth programs and services that align with the YMCA's mission and goals.
  • Lead a team of staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programs and services to youth and families.
  • Collaborate with community partners to identify and address the needs of youth and families.
  • Develop and manage budgets for youth programs and services.
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures, as well as state and local regulations.
  • Provide training and support to staff and volunteers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver effective programs and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in youth development and program management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and build strong relationships with community partners.
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
