Job Title: Youth Development Coach

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Development Coach to join our team at the Greater Somerset County YMCA. As a key member of our Youth Development team, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering engaging programs that promote healthy lifestyles, academic achievement, and social-emotional growth among middle and high school students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans and activities that align with the ACE program's goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Track attendance and provide data to the Youth Development Director to inform program improvements.
  • Coordinate logistics for program activities, including field trips, workshops, and other enrichments.
  • Collaborate with the Youth Development Team to ensure program consistency and quality.
Requirements:
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Demonstrated experience working with middle and high school students.
  • Knowledge of student growth and development.
  • Ability to relate to students in a patient and caring way while demonstrating honesty, respect, and responsibility.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to take and follow directions.
  • Ability to maintain systems for accurate record keeping.
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
  • Commitment to the goals and objectives of the YMCA.
