Job Summary

The Center for Children with Special Needs is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to support our growing behavioral health organization. In this role, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end support for prior authorizations, maintaining accurate records, and partnering with clinical team members to troubleshoot authorization denials.

This is a full-time in-person position located at either CCSN's Glastonbury or Farmington location, with the potential for hybrid work in the future. As an Insurance Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support for prior authorizations across various clinical services
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including documentation within existing workflows
  • Partner with clinical team members to troubleshoot authorization denials and advocate for patient care
  • Engage with patients, families, and payors to address and resolve insurance-related questions
Requirements
  • Experience working in an office or healthcare setting, preferably in a behavioral health practice
  • Familiarity with commercial insurance payors and claims processing
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
