Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at The Ear, Nose & Throat Institute of Connecticut. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the entire clinic, including registering patients, answering phone calls, booking appointments, and following up on consults and test results.
- Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient collection, handling, and processing of specimens in accordance with clinic procedures.
- Assist healthcare providers with various tasks and duties.
- Perform laboratory and administrative duties related to clinic operations.
- Maintain and organize laboratory/clinic equipment and supplies.
- Proficiently use computer systems and knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Develop strong communication skills and work well with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare treatment rooms, clean between procedures, and take inventory of medical products and supplies.
- Manage appointments, respect order of arrival, and timeline, and manage delays while keeping patients informed.
- Update healthcare providers on daily schedules and manage delays.
- Develop effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Utilize strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Must be willing to travel to work in each of our locations.
