Key Responsibilities
- Completes comprehensive sales orders and manages paperwork in line with dealership protocols.
- Achieves and delivers a specified minimum number of vehicle sales monthly.
- Employs dealership sales control and follow-up systems effectively.
- Participates in product and sales training sessions as directed by the sales manager.
- Stays informed about new products and services within the automotive industry.
- Maintains a customer follow-up system that promotes repeat and referral business, enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Develops a prospecting system to cultivate potential clients.
- Conducts business with integrity and professionalism.
- Addresses the transportation needs of new vehicle buyers.
- Welcomes and assists customers entering the dealership showroom or sales lot.
- Guides customers in selecting a vehicle by asking insightful questions and attentively listening to their responses.
- Thoroughly explains product performance, applications, and benefits to potential buyers.
- Describes all optional features available for customer purchase.
- Offers test drives to all interested prospects, following dealership procedures for identification verification.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automotive sales.
- Sets personal income goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and develops strategies to achieve them.
- Stays updated on new products, features, accessories, and their advantages for customers.
- Understands equity and values, and can explain depreciation to customers.
- Ensures the sales manager has the opportunity to meet each customer.
- Submits all closed deals to the finance and insurance manager with properly completed documentation.
- Prepares sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to their arrival.
- Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring they comprehend the vehicle's operational features, warranty, and associated paperwork.
- Introduces customers to service department personnel to highlight the quality and efficiency of available service repairs and maintenance.
- Schedules the first service appointment for customers.
- Follows up on all post-delivery items, including tag/title work and special requests, to ensure all customer expectations are met.
- Reviews and evaluates actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to optimize time management and planning.
- Attends sales meetings regularly.
- Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
