Clinical Supervisor of Veterinary Emergency Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our Emergency Services team at Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty + Emergency. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the training, administration, and cohesive teamwork on the floor. You will collaborate closely with the management team to ensure high-quality and comprehensive medical services to enhance the client and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to clinical support teams to facilitate effective patient care delivery.
- Plan and direct care of emergency patients, including assigning patient responsibilities to ER team members based on their level of competence.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and implement appropriate interventions to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use, as well as OSHA regulations and hospital safety.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and standards of practice, and educate staff on the use of equipment and supplies, safe patient handling techniques, and safety procedures.
- Correspond with DVMs to ensure that all information is readily available to support team/patient care providers.
- Manage concerns about patient care, work environment, or co-worker performance, and report to Clinical Operations Manager and HR in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an AVMA-Accredited Veterinary Technician Program.
- 4+ years Emergency veterinary experience required.
- 3+ years supervisory experience required. Veterinary medicine preferred.
- Currently licensed in GA state, or able to transfer an out of state technician license if applicable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and a cheerful outlook.
- Ability to function as a team player and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments/duties.
