Job Title: Hospital Director of Clinical Operations

We are seeking a seasoned business leader with expertise in clinical operations, financial decision-making, and culture development to join our team as a Hospital Director of Clinical Operations at Ethos Veterinary Health. The ideal candidate embodies the principles of servant leadership, values collaboration, and has the vision and ability to drive organizational growth.

About the Role:
  • Directly oversee all operations and business activities and lead team members for all departments.
  • Partner effectively and collaboratively with the Medical Director(s) who is heavily involved in the overall management of the hospital as well as responsible for the overall level of medicine and high-quality patient care.
  • Demonstrate a strategic orientation by translating a vision into actionable plans and activities and by managing operations effectively to achieve objectives.
  • Direct leadership team in a collaborative fashion to facilitate resolution of issues and growth within the hospital.
  • Organize and conduct staff meetings. Meeting regularly with managers to discuss, evaluate, and plan for the welfare of the practice. Attends corporate meetings.
  • Consciously shape a positive hospital culture based on trust and teamwork that caters to the needs of our clients and referring veterinarians.
  • Responsible for overseeing the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of staff in conjunction with the Medical Director(s).
  • Monitors employee competence and effectiveness through manager feedback and observation as well as staff performance and salary reviews including overseeing disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Collaborates on the recruitment, interviewing, contract negotiation, and hiring of doctors in conjunction with the Medical Director(s).
  • Responsible for working closely with the Medical Director(s) to establish the best medical care while keeping the positive financial health of the hospital.
  • Exhibits a calming, humble and teachable attitude whilst having the ability to address decisive change through the hospital.
  • Passionate about providing resources, support, and supervision for the hospital staff and fostering an incredibly positive and forward moving culture.
  • Has frequent presence on the clinic floor, fostering relationships with all staff and Doctors.
