Lead Experimentation Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in the Indo-Pacific Regional Operations Department (N254) at MITRE's Joint and Services Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expertise in systems engineering and experimentation to support the US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) and its Service Components.
Key Responsibilities- Define, drive, and implement cohesive and efficient experimentation campaigns for INDOPACOM.
- Build and manage relationships with sponsors, MITRE, and stakeholders to ensure successful experimentation outcomes.
- Develop and implement resourcing strategies to rapidly develop, acquire, maintain, and transition capabilities into the Indo-Pacific Theater.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Service unique experimentation to advance INDOPACOM priorities.
- Collaborate with government, FFRDC, and MITRE experimentation leads and organizations to integrate new technology into the theater.
- Typically BS in a technical discipline, such as Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields; or a BA in International Relations, International Security, or similar fields and 8 years of experience, or a master's degree and 6 years of experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Familiarity with DoD military missions and prior experience working day-to-day in government-controlled DoD spaces.
- Demonstrated expert level knowledge of operational and developmental experimentation, strong system-of-systems engineering experience, and familiarity with various DoD acquisition approaches.
- Effective and influential oral communications skills, strong written and oral communications skills, and active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of related experience; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Working knowledge of model-based systems engineering, operational analysis, and modeling & simulation, current knowledge of emerging technology being adopted into acquisition programs and/or the INDOPACOM theater.
- Familiarity with MITRE project management processes, capabilities, and associated tools, demonstrated capability for strategic planning, and experience with and/or future interest in project and department leadership roles.
