Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Exelon Corporation. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and/or information technology projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance, and ensure project delivery within approved parameters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large and complex projects, applying established project management principles and techniques.
  • Collaborate with other project managers, work management, and functional managers to optimize resource utilization.
  • Communicate effectively with project sponsors and key stakeholders, including executive-level presentations.
  • Acquire and manage contract resources, participating in the contractor selection process and evaluating contractor performance.
  • Lead and coach team members to improve performance and meet or exceed expectations.
  • Acquire zoning variations and permits for large projects, presenting project details to city zoning boards and public hearings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of relevant project management experience, or 9-12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or achieve PMP within two years of job entry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management techniques, including planning and control, issue and risk management, project management tools, and business case development.
  • Proven leadership ability in a high-performance culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, communicate effectively, engage others in required processes, and hold people accountable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience (manager roles).
  • Master's degree in engineering or Business Administration.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Experience or knowledge of the specific functional area or discipline.
