Job Overview

Position Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Salary: $25.00 per hour

We are looking for a committed individual to become part of our team as a Facility Maintenance Technician.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday (8 AM - 4 PM) - Open availability required

Weekends may be required with prior approval from the Facility Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values through daily activities.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on both the interior and exterior of the facility.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for urgent repairs and maintenance tasks that exceed routine service, subject to approval from the Director of Maintenance.
  • Keep a detailed log of maintenance activities and schedule future services as needed.
  • Prioritize safety by identifying and addressing hazardous situations to protect oneself and others.
  • Engage with colleagues, management, clients, and stakeholders in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Foster a healthy and productive workplace environment.
  • Report any serious incidents to the Facility Administrator or management team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Act as a mandated reporter, ensuring all allegations of abuse and neglect are reported as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in building maintenance.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in using standard office equipment, including multi-line phones, fax machines, printers, copiers, and computers.

Work Environment:

  • Work is conducted in diverse settings, including offices, kitchens, storage areas, parking lots, gardens, and attics.

Working Conditions:

This position may require working in a community-based environment, which could include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role involves various physical activities, including standing, walking, and assisting individuals with mobility or personal care tasks.
