Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Imaging Equipment Specialist II to join our team at Trinity Health. This role is responsible for performing planned maintenance and corrective maintenance on high-level diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment used throughout the healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned maintenance and corrective maintenance on imaging equipment, including nuclear medicine, ultrasound, angiography, and radiation therapy equipment.
  • Assist in the planning and installation of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment.
  • Order parts and supplies within established departmental guidelines.
  • Coordinate repairs with vendors and users, including follow-up paperwork and verification that issues are resolved.
  • Attend training sessions to stay up-to-date on technological and medical equipment advances.
  • Conduct in-service training sessions for radiology clinical/professional staff on proper use and safety of advanced radiology equipment.
  • Provide on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in teamwork by keeping others informed, initiating group decision-making, and working to accomplish team objectives and projects.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Associate's degree in a related field, such as medical electronics or imaging service technology.
  • Three or more years of experience performing corrective and planned maintenance on imaging equipment.
  • Certified Radiology Equipment Service (CRES) preferred but not required.
  • Specialized training by manufacturer or third-party equipment repair in areas such as nuclear medicine, diagnostic x-ray, therapeutic x-ray, ultrasound, or radiation therapy equipment.
  • Working knowledge of radiation physics, medical terminology, medical instrumentation, anatomy, physiology, imaging service techniques, and 21 CFR.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information related to malfunctioning imaging equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The Imaging Equipment Specialist II will work in a collaborative, shared leadership environment and must be comfortable operating in a hazardous environment with exposure to electrocution potentials, mechanical energies, bloodborne/airborne pathogens, dust, and inclement weather.
