Work Schedule:
This role operates Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm, with mandatory overtime as required by business demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement necessary protocols in case of environmental incidents or workplace injuries, demonstrating knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safety metrics.
  • Ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized by team members and promote accountability in its usage.
  • Interpret and manage process flows, specifications, and work instructions pertinent to distribution operations.
  • Understand the audit process and emphasize the importance of transparent reporting and equipment functionality, suggesting improvements as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of customer requirements and supply chain dynamics.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and DMAIC principles.
  • Monitor inventory operational plans and performance metrics, distinguishing between raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Analyze operational plans and weekly performance, aligning results with established goals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to set UPH/CPH targets based on historical data and understand the components of VCPU.
  • Recognize the distinction between material and conversion cost productivity.
  • Understand general business and financial planning processes, including gross and operating margins.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and lead shift start-up discussions, while also managing ergonomic initiatives.
  • Familiarize with the critical path for material flow across retail, direct-to-consumer, and return-to-vendor processes.
  • Exhibit logistics knowledge, including truck routing for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Calculate productivity metrics and determine necessary staffing levels.
  • Understand the implications of delivery commitments to customers.
  • Navigate the site's ERP systems efficiently.
  • Possess a basic understanding of warehouse management systems and troubleshoot as required.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various operational functions and their interrelations.
  • Recognize the significance of employee relations through effective communication.
  • Gain team buy-in before implementing significant changes.
  • Foster a positive teaming culture within the facility and across the supply chain, understanding its business impact.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, which may include standing for extended periods and lifting weights up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • Regular communication is essential, utilizing various methods.
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, reach, and move weights as necessary.
  • May be required to work in different locations based on business needs.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of experience in a distribution center environment is preferred.
  • Yellow belt Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic lean concepts is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with automated distribution center systems and RF technology is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels.
  • Capacity to learn and retain comprehensive knowledge of operational systems and processes.
  • Ability to perform business-related mathematics and analyze data as required.
  • Skills in conflict management and de-escalation techniques.
  • Willingness to take initiative in personal skill development.

Work Environment:
This position is situated in a warehouse setting, with limited outdoor exposure. The role frequently utilizes standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, RF scanners, and computers. Temporary assignments in different locations may be required based on business needs.

Compensation and Benefits:
