About the Role

  • We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Early Intervention team, working 40 hours weekly.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support, including data entry, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records.
  • Interact with pediatrician groups, DCF, hospitals, families, and various state agencies, including Department of Public Health, Department of Education, and Department of Transportation, on a regular basis.
  • Process referrals, schedule intake appointments, and maintain assessment calendars, ensuring timely communication with the EI team.
  • Maintain the EI database in compliance with DPH Early Intervention Operational Standards.
  • Review referral information, forms, and billing details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Confirm client benefits prior to processing bills and monitor ongoing eligibility verification.
  • Establish positive relationships with agency personnel, clients, referral sources, and third-party payer contacts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two years' experience in third-party billing/collections necessary.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment beneficial.
  • Knowledge of electronic claims processing advantageous.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish languages preferred.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience.
