Research Scientist Intern, Soft Wearable Research and Technologies

At Meta, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible with soft wearable technologies. As a Research Scientist Intern, you'll join our team of experts in developing the next generation of soft wearable technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and develop new soft wearable technologies
- Collaborate with the Reality Labs team to provide creative solutions to challenges in soft wearables and sensing technologies
- Design, prototype, and characterize novel soft actuators
- Communicate research activities and findings to collaborators across various disciplines
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Robotics, Bio-engineering, or a relevant technical field
- 2+ years of experience with hardware prototyping, soft wearable technologies, and performing experiments
- Systematic thinking, cross-group collaboration, and clear communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience via an internship, work experience, or widely used contributions to open source projects
- Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, and publications
- Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment
Compensation:
$7,313/month to $11,293/month + benefits
