Quality Specialist Job Description

Flatiron Construction is seeking a Quality Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Specialist, you will perform quality inspections and witness tests to ensure compliance with all contract specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify risks at the project site and identify discrepancies during daily site walks.
  • Document findings, evaluations, and inspections using Company prescribed procedures and software.
  • Assist with protocols, qualifications, and prescribed validation procedures and documentation.
  • Perform system verifications on completed systems to assure correct installation per contract design specifications.
  • Document, analyze, and report environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Support impact assessments to identify, assess, and reduce the organization's environmental risks and financial costs.
  • Maintain knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan.
  • Support published corporate policies.
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma preferred.
  • 1+ year related experience preferred.
  • ACI or Canadian equivalent certification required within six-months of hire.
  • Experience or training in environmental regulatory and construction industry compliance preferred.
  • Developing understanding of construction quality standards and processes.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grow in environmental monitoring, technical writing, and documentation.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
