Job Summary

Summit Design + Build, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer II to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing direct support to project management and field supervision staff from project inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide thorough reviews to ensure all aspects are in line with project goals.
  • Develop bidders lists, manage subcontract scopes, and ensure timely execution of contracts.
  • Prepare cost estimates and manage project finances including budgets, cost tracking, and change orders.
  • Develop and maintain the overall project schedule, ensuring timely updates and adjustments as needed.
  • Manage critical documents like RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes to keep the project on track.
  • Assist in ensuring all project aspects meet Summit's rigorous standards for quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong decision-making abilities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Committed to quality and excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in On Screen Takeoff, Sage CRE 300, Procore, and Bluebeam preferred.
