Aqua, a subsidiary of Essential Utilities, Inc., is seeking a Project Engineer to support our key growth initiatives in Texas. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in laying the foundations for our Engineering team in the region.
The scope of the projects will range from small pump replacements to multiple million-dollar water/wastewater treatment plant upgrades and everything in between. You will be responsible for preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of studies and reports to guide company management in planning for future systems needs and improvements. This includes developing cost estimates for capital budget planning and projects, modeling alternative evaluations, and coordinating monthly capital meetings with operational personnel.
As a Project Engineer, you will also be responsible for modeling and reviewing all waterline and sewer projects, designing assigned aspects of projects, and using company applications such as Powerplant and SAP to create and manage capital projects. You will ensure new equipment is logged into the appropriate maintenance system and update, maintain, and research information in various company databases.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer who can ensure timely delivery of projects through creative problem-solving and effective use of capital. If you have a strong background in design, preferably in the water/wastewater utility industry, and are a Registered EIT in the State of Texas or have the ability to obtain EIT license within one year from hire date, we encourage you to apply.
