The ideal candidate will possess experience in supporting adolescents in mental health settings, demonstrating creativity and a collaborative spirit. This individual should be both direct and compassionate, capable of establishing boundaries while maintaining an energetic and engaging approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and promote the mission and values of the organization.
  • Collaborate with home schools and educators to address the academic needs of individual clients, ensuring support systems are age-appropriate and aligned with their developmental stages.
  • Deliver lessons in an engaging manner, utilizing various visual and auditory tools to enhance personalized learning experiences.
  • Provide tailored instructional support to each client, fostering interactive learning opportunities.
  • During the summer, design and implement project-based learning initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison with educational partners, including school administrators, teachers, and special education providers, as necessary based on client needs.
  • Monitor and assess client behavior and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns regarding neglect or abuse.
  • Remain an integral member of the treatment team, contributing insights and feedback during weekly meetings.
  • Foster positive and collaborative relationships with leadership, clinical staff, and all stakeholders.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development in mental health, particularly as it pertains to adolescent disorders, through literature review, expert consultations, and training opportunities.
  • Timeliness is essential for this role, as punctuality is a critical job requirement.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic familiarity with general office equipment.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of addressing questions from clients and the public.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Frequent movement throughout a multi-story facility, including the ability to navigate stairs.
  • Capability to work in environments with varying noise levels.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of desk work and computer use are expected.
  • For RTC adolescents, the ability to perform therapeutic interventions as required.

Mental and Social Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work respectfully with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient in crisis navigation and problem-solving using sound judgment and critical thinking.
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming demeanor with all clients and staff.
  • Utilize professional communication skills when addressing concerns with clients or colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Education or Counseling.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health or educational setting.
  • Must meet the criteria for vehicle use, including a valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is mandatory.

The compensation for this role ranges from $25 to $30 per hour.
