Job Summary

Shanty Creek Resorts is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Reservations Assistant Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pull weekly data reports from our Property Management System (PMS), Revinate golf system, and external resources, and export them into Excel worksheets.
  • Research changes in basic data and work with group sales on rate or room night issues.
  • Enter transient room rates and packages as determined by the Director of Reservations.
  • Maintain a log of Maestro rate yields.
  • Monitor room assignments for optimal front desk and housekeeping operational efficiency.
  • Prepare packages for social arrivals and audit group package setup and arrival readiness.
  • Keep current business standards and office procedures in place while implementing new processes.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings to take minutes and assist with presentations as needed.
  • Create, prepare, and distribute business documents as required.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested by the Director of Reservations and distribute as needed.
  • Identify and establish best practices for department efficiencies and service standards.
  • Perform administrative duties, including answering the phone, typing correspondence, retrieving and distributing mail, and other tasks as assigned.
Guest Service/Conduct

Personal and professional accountability is essential for employment with Shanty Creek Resorts. All employees must adhere to Resort policies and standards of conduct while providing exceptional guest service. This includes:

  • Meeting daily personal appearance and uniform standards as outlined in the Shanty Creek Resorts Employee Handbook.
  • Utilizing tools to ensure prompt and correct service and information is provided to guests.
  • Conducting themselves in a professional manner at all times, maintaining the highest standards of guest service in interactions with fellow employees, vendors, and guests.
Requirements

This position requires 6 to 12 months of professional experience in reservations or front desk in a hotel/resort setting. A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with an Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.

Required skills include strong oral and written communication skills, excellent typing skills (45 wpm minimum), and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
