Executive Sous Chef

Shanty Creek Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food production, service, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, stewards, and leaders.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory and ordering of food and supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are on hand.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to plan and execute special events and banquets.
- Ensure that all kitchen staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
- Monitor and control food costs, ensuring that they are within budget.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional culinary experience in a leadership role.
- Associate's degree from an accredited culinary school.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
