About the Job

We're seeking a seasoned Technical Vision Specialist to join our autonomous driving team at Magna International. As a renowned expert in computer vision, you'll play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge solutions to tackle complex problems across various domains. Your extensive background in traditional computer vision algorithms and deep learning will enable you to design, implement, and optimize state-of-the-art systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of existing computer vision techniques to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement innovative traditional computer vision algorithms, including feature extraction, optical flow, and camera calibration.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their growth and development.


Requirements and Qualifications
  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in computer vision research and development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Strong understanding of image processing techniques, feature extraction, and image analysis.
  • Solid mathematical foundation, including linear algebra, calculus, and statistics.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with traditional computer vision techniques, including feature description, visual SLAM, and visual tracking.
  • Published research in areas of computer vision, machine learning, AI, or related fields.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Matlab/Simulink, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
