- Assist in the recruitment and enrollment processes for prospective and current students.
- Stay informed about workforce and technical advancements in advanced manufacturing programs, including industry certifications.
- Oversee administrative aspects of the Advanced Manufacturing Center's credit programs.
- Teach courses in areas where skillsets are required.
- Coordinate with Economic Development for the scheduling of classes and programs within the Advanced Manufacturing Center.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, along with 3 to 5 years of teaching experience or 1 to 3 years of teaching in Mechatronics Technology-related courses within a technical college setting. Teaching experience should encompass Industrial Mechanics, Fluid Power Systems, and other Mechatronics-based curricula. Additionally, the instructor should have experience in training and supervising students in required Mechatronics Technology laboratories.
Note: Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications to be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants with an accredited Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering and postsecondary teaching experience are preferred. Experience in courses such as Introduction to Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, Fluid Power Systems, Industrial Motor Controls, Basic Industrial PLCs, Industrial Instrumentation, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, and other Mechatronics Technology-based courses is desirable. Experience with Mechanical Hands-on Training Equipment, Hydraulic Instructional Tools, Pneumatic Training Devices, Practical Mechanical Teaching Systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) System Devices (e.g., Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC Systems) is also beneficial. Familiarity with training systems like Festo or Amatrol Virtual Training Software is a plus.
