About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Round Rock, Texas.

Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist will perform diagnostic and/or fluoroscopic imaging procedures on ambulatory patients in a physician office or clinic setting. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively explain the procedure to patients, ensure they are relaxed and at ease during the exam, and provide quality care while obtaining diagnostic images for interpretation by a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
  • Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
  • Document pregnancy status of female patients of childbearing age and the shielding precautions taken during the imaging study.
  • Ensure operation of radiology equipment by performing quality checks following manufacturer's recommendations and troubleshooting equipment as required.
  • Participate in modality-specific QA/QC programs and ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in radiology.
  • ARRT-R Radiography certification.
