Asset Management Analyst II - Commercial Real Estate Finance

At Northmarq, we're seeking a highly skilled Asset Management Analyst II to join our Servicing department in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of Agency and/or CMBS loans, providing premier customer service, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite and make recommendations for lender consent of borrower requests, including lease approvals, maturity extensions, and partial releases/substitutions of collateral.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel and borrowers to document and close transactions upon final lender approval.
  • Analyze annual and quarterly financial statements for multifamily and commercial properties in accordance with the requirements of Freddie Mac and conduit lenders.
  • Perform financial covenant testing calculations, including NOI, DSCR, debt yield, and other relevant metrics.
  • Review property repair verification inspections conducted by third-party vendors and regional offices.
  • Monitor post-closing repairs to ensure timely completion and good workmanship.
  • Process insurance loss requests, manage proceeds, and monitor the restoration of the property.
  • Audit new loan boarding and setup to ensure accurate loan terms and covenants.
  • Introduction to training and mentoring across teams on areas of expertise, including loan events, processes, and commercial real estate knowledge.
  • Monitor and collect outstanding mortgage payments, documenting collection efforts.
  • Serve on procedure committees updating policies for the Portfolio & Asset Management division.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, real estate, or accounting.
  • 2-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a background in commercial lending or asset management preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate finance and commercial loan terminology.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passionate about customer service, providing exceptional service to all internal and external clients.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Problem-solving skills to reflect the level of responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
