Job Summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for performing identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines, submitting inspection results to clients with recommendations, and planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of assigned tree clearance crews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of trees and brush along utility lines to identify potential hazards and develop recommendations for removal or pruning.
  • Submit inspection results to clients in a clear and concise manner, including detailed reports and photographs.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers to ensure seamless communication and resolution of issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in utility vegetation management or a related field.
  • Vegetation management experience preferred.
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working with GIS-integrated data collection software/hardware preferred but not required.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and production-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a geographical area for all vegetation-related activities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multi-tasking and strong time management skills required.
  • Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules.
  • Valid driver's license required.
