About the Role

We seek a seasoned Nursing Director to lead our Professional Development and Practice Excellence team in the Peaks Region. As a key member of our executive nursing leadership, you will drive nursing quality and safety initiatives, collaborating with regional teams to develop and deploy education and clinical practice training programs aligned with strategic goals.

Your expertise in implementing cutting-edge care delivery models and promoting Magnet designation will be invaluable in elevating Intermountain Health's national leadership position. You will also provide regional input on innovation, shared governance structures, and career development relationships with nursing schools.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual nursing education strategies, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and objectives.
  • Lead the regional implementation of competency-based education, new grad residency programs, preceptor training, and clinical simulation.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Excellence teams to design and deploy clinical education and practice training across the region.
  • Promote evidence-based practice through research, IRB collaboration, and EBP fellowship.
  • Maintain efficient processes for developing, approving, and reviewing nursing policies consistent with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze results and identify areas for improvement across the region.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field (or Bachelor's degree in Nursing if Master's is not held).
  • Current state nursing license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated outcomes in quality management, patient safety, and caregiver engagement.
  • Leadership experience in clinical education, change management, and technology implementation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Location and Salary

This role is based in the Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado. The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 - $115,000 per year, dependent on experience.
