About the Role

The Med/Surg Nurse Supervisor will report to the Medical Surgical Unit RN Manager and will work closely with the Nurse Director of Inpatient Services.

In this leadership role, you'll collaborate with nurse leaders, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the unit runs efficiently.

Providing leadership support to this Supervisor is a CMSRN Charge Nurse and a team of Medical Surgical Registered Nurses.

The 20-bed Medical Surgical unit serves a diverse patient demographic, handling a variety of complex medical and neurological conditions.

The unit has a strong commitment to teamwork and fostering a professional yet supportive atmosphere.

As a Nurse Supervisor, you'll work alongside a talented team of nurses, physicians, and techs, dedicated to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cutting-edge Medical Surgical unit
  • Manage daily staffing plans, ensuring appropriate competency matching based on patient acuity
  • Play a key role in driving patient safety, improving performance, and enhancing the overall patient experience
  • Collaborate closely with nurse leaders and interdisciplinary teams to support productivity, budget management, and clinical initiatives
