About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Records Specialist to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of medical data entry into our computer system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the timely and accurate entry of medical data into our computer system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records documents for each facility.
  • Research and resolve any issues related to illegible or unfamiliar terminology on handwritten sheets.
  • Verify and clarify any problems or inquiries with facility documentation requests.
  • Communicate regularly with facilities nursing staff, Director of Nursing, and Administrator regarding corrections to medical data.
  • Utilize reference materials to improve skills and maintain confidentiality of employee and patient/resident demographics and medical information.
  • Run medical records forms and reports containing facility, patient, and pharmaceutical information.
  • Assist consultant pharmacists by obtaining facility data from the system and informing them of department procedures.
  • Promote customer goodwill and enhance corporate image to support the corporate mission, values, and philosophy.
  • Conduct audits with facilities using computerized data and facility data.
  • Observe and comply with all PharMerica policies and procedures.
