Technology Integration Instructional Specialist

SALARY RANGE: $55,250 - $65,000, 10-Month position; adheres to the academic calendar with a commitment of 190 working days. This role does not include vacation accrual. Full-time positions entail a commitment of 7.75 hours per day, totaling 38.75 hours per week. Additional summer work opportunities may be available on a per diem basis. Comprehensive benefits are included.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engages in various coaching and instructional support functions in areas such as computer science, educational technology, and blended learning environments.
  • Collaborates with a diverse group of educational stakeholders, including team members, educators, administrators, students, and technical support personnel.
  • Designs effective learning experiences across multiple formats for educators and learners, emphasizing culturally and linguistically responsive teaching practices.
  • Enhances the capacity of regional educators to implement curriculum and instructional strategies aligned with state learning standards, ensuring equitable access for all students.
  • Participates in regional planning and advisory councils as needed.
  • Oversees the integration and management of instructional technology resources, including The Library of Things.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned by program coordinators and leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possession of a New York State (NYS) Permanent or Professional Teaching Certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience or equivalent is required.
  • Current understanding of research and best practices related to the Danielson Framework for Teaching, ISTE Standards, and NYS K-12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards is essential.
