Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals. As a Radiation Therapist - Oncology Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering therapeutic radiation to animals in accordance with prescriptions and instructions provided by the Radiation Oncologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic radiation to animals using a linear accelerator and record system
- Assist in anesthetic induction and recovery, and monitor radiation patient side effects
- Provide education to clients regarding treatment, radiation reactions, and post-treatment care
- Work closely with other hospital services to provide comprehensive patient care
- Shaping the future of veterinary care through practical instruction of diverse veterinary students and house officers
Requirements:
- Graduate of AMA-approved school in radiation therapy with 3-5 years of relevant experience
- One year experience in clinical therapeutic radiation therapy
- NYS Licensure and RTT or eligible required by time of appointment
- Comfortable working with animals, primarily dogs and cats
- Interest in ongoing career growth and advanced skill development
