Core Responsibilities:

The Metallurgist within the Quality Division plays a crucial role in our organization: positively influencing safety, devising solutions, enhancing operational and commercial excellence, fostering teammate development, and ensuring sustained profitability. This role involves active participation in the evaluation of new product inquiries and developments, quality assessments, specification management, and coordination of continuous improvement initiatives, supporting both our Operational and Commercial Teams.

Safety is paramount in all roles; hence, candidates must demonstrate their capability to initiate, lead, and maintain safety policies, practices, procedures, and cleanliness standards consistently.

Essential Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy, Material Science, or a relevant technical discipline.


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in steelmaking as a Metallurgist.

Desirable Qualifications:


• Familiarity with clean steel methodologies.


• Previous experience with QUAD Infotech software.


• Experience with Oracle ERP systems.


• Understanding of ASTM standards and specifications.


• Experience handling customer inquiries and resolving complaints.


• Technical proficiency with the ability to collect and analyze data for informed decision-making (Excel, SQL, IBA, etc.) as well as tactical choices.


• Prior experience with mechanical testing and analytical tools such as tensile testing machines, OE spectrometers, XRFs, LECOs, metallographic sample preparation, and optical microscopy.
