Job Title: Water Resources Engineer

Are you ready to take on new challenges and work on landmark design/build projects? We have immediate openings for Water Resources Engineers to work in our Design Engineering Services Group in our Lone Tree, CO office.

About the Role

As a Water Resources Engineer, you will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department - a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the Design-Build/Alternative delivery of infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare design plans, reports, and technical memoranda for drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and preparation of design plans, reports and technical documentation.
  • Develop terrain, grading and other design components via models such as Inroads, Arc-GIS and other pre and post processing software packages.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure that project elements are compatible.
  • Support project communications and technical meetings, provide coordination to resolve design issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 8+ years of design experience in drainage, water resources, hydraulics or hydrology in either transportation or land development projects.
  • Must have PE license.
  • Working knowledge of hydrologic analysis methods including single-event and continuous rainfall modeling, watershed analysis, hydrograph and peak discharge development and routing.
  • Experience with pavement drainage, culverts, storm systems, bridge sizing and scour, revetment design, temporary drainage design, and coastal considerations for highway and transit drainage.
