Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Executive Communications to join our team at Bath & Body Works. This role will be responsible for crafting and implementing critical communication plans for executives within our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing comprehensive communication strategies that support the objectives of executive leadership and the overall organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement communication plans that align with the company's goals, values, and brand identity
  • Craft clear, compelling, and consistent messages for senior leadership to deliver across various platforms and channels
  • Create speeches, talking points, and presentations for executives, ensuring they are tailored to specific audiences and occasions
  • Produce written content such as articles, op-eds, blog posts, and social media posts for executives to enhance their thought leadership and visibility
  • Collaborate with the media relations team to coordinate interviews, prepare executives for media appearances, and craft key messages for press releases and statements
  • Develop and maintain the personal brands of executives, ensuring alignment with the organization's brand and values
  • Support internal communication efforts by drafting memos, newsletters, and other materials to keep employees informed and engaged
  • Build and cultivate relationships with key partners, including executives, colleagues, media contacts, and external partners
  • Assist in developing and implementing crisis communication plans, providing guidance and support to executives during challenging situations
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes
Requirements
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in corporate communications, executive communications, or a similar role
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the capability to tailor messages for different audiences
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to develop creative solutions to complex communication challenges
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives and cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with media relations practices and experience working with journalists and media outlets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other communication tools/software
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity, especially when dealing with sensitive or confidential information
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
