Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and manage financial reports for executive leadership and board members, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Facilitate the annual audit process, ensuring all documentation meets funder requirements.
  • Oversee the agency's budgeting process, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of expenses and revenues, providing forecasts to guide financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Supervise finance staff, providing training and support to ensure high-quality financial operations.
  • Manage payroll processes in collaboration with HR, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Regularly reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating discrepancies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of financial record-keeping practices, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Familiarity with governmental regulations affecting financial operations.

Education:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, particularly in non-profit financial management, is essential.
