Acknowledged as one of the rapidly expanding firms in their region, they are in search of a skilled Production Technician/Electrical Engineering Technician for a full-time role.

Overview:

The role involves assessing and proposing enhancements for laboratory equipment maintenance to optimize production workflows and boost overall efficiency. Responsibilities include evaluating designs, generating bills of materials by selecting components per project specifications, ensuring the precedence of parts, and adhering to counterfeit prevention protocols. The technician will also assist in all aspects of component procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct acceptance testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of products and prototypes as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation to record equipment modifications and design maintenance/testing protocols.
  • Support the computer-aided engineering (CAE) design process for products or components.
  • Assist in the development of prototypes, layouts, and models for product components, systems, or manufacturing processes utilizing CAE tools.
  • Verify layouts and analysis results for precision and compliance with standards.
  • Gather, validate, and prepare data essential for CAE operations.
  • Assemble and/or modify printed circuit boards as required.
  • Perform failure analysis on equipment, including both preventive and unplanned maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to create, compose, and edit technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping capabilities.
  • Proficient soldering skills.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and/or capability to obtain IPC certification for soldering and inspection of printed circuit assemblies.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in circuit prototyping and design.
  • Significant familiarity with laboratory instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and datasheets.
  • Experience with PCB Design for Manufacturability.
  • Experience in soldering, staking, and rework processes.
