Recognized as one of the fastest-growing firms in their region, they are in search of a qualified Production Technician/Electrical Engineering Technician for a full-time role.

Role Overview:

The selected candidate will assess and propose enhancements for laboratory equipment maintenance to optimize production workflows and elevate overall efficiency. Responsibilities include evaluating designs, generating bills of materials by selecting components based on project specifications, ensuring component precedence, and adhering to counterfeit prevention protocols. The role also involves assisting with procurement processes for parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct acceptance testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of products and prototypes as necessary.
  • Draft technical documentation to record modifications and maintenance/testing procedures for equipment and designs.
  • Support the computer-aided engineering (CAE) design process for products or components.
  • Assist in developing prototypes, layouts, and models for product components or manufacturing processes using CAE tools.
  • Verify layouts and analytical results for precision and compliance with standards.
  • Gather, validate, and prepare data essential for CAE operations.
  • Assemble and/or modify printed circuit boards as required.
  • Perform analyses on equipment failures, including both preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to create, compose, and edit documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in record-keeping.
  • Expertise in soldering techniques.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and/or the capability to obtain IPC certification for soldering and inspection of printed circuit assemblies.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in circuit prototyping and design.
  • Extensive knowledge of laboratory equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to read and interpret schematics and datasheets.
  • Experience with PCB Design for Manufacturability.
  • Proficiency in soldering, staking, and rework processes.
