Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction and supervision of the Resource/Budget Manager, a Staff Services Manager I, the AGPA is responsible to coordinate the tracking of IT/equipment/rotation schedules and administrative support to ensure and facilitate completed staff work on matters of critical concern associated with the Engineering Services Office and within Caltrans. In this capacity, the AGPA independently researches, analyzes and monitors the management of equipment/staffing/organizational charts and hiring matters for the units within the Office of Design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the tracking of IT/equipment/rotation schedules and administrative support to ensure and facilitate completed staff work on matters of critical concern associated with the Engineering Services Office and within Caltrans.
  • Independently researches, analyzes and monitors the management of equipment/staffing/organizational charts and hiring matters for the units within the Office of Design.
  • Provides expert advice and consultation to management regarding various personnel management activities and special hiring requirements.
  • Provides recommendations to management that ensures the office continues to take a proactive role in resolving issues and correcting discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state-owned or leased vehicle.
  • Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Failure to submit a Statement of Qualifications will disqualify candidates from the hiring process.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in working in a team environment to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a cooperative environment through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Experience in preparing technical reports, memorandums, and letters.
