Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the State Water Resources Control Board and may be eligible for telework with in-person attendance based on operational needs.

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst provides administrative assistance and professional analytical support to the public and staff within the Board by phone, email, mail, and in person.

The AGPA provides human resources and administrative support to the Executive Officer and Regional board members and serves as the clerk to the board.

The AGPA is detail-oriented and proficient in the utilization of office equipment and Microsoft 365 applications and services.

The AGPA is expected to be familiar with the Regional Water Quality Control Boards' function and responsibilities as a regulatory agency.

Requirements
  • Essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and the ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.
  • A current and valid driver's license, if the position requires driving.
Benefits

Water Board employees may be eligible for benefits, including health benefits and leave programs, for most permanent, full-time employees, and some permanent, part-time employees.

Benefit eligibility may depend on length of service and may be subject to collective bargaining agreements negotiated between the State of California and employee organizations.
