Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Bridge Inspector to join our team in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, or Houston office. As a key member of our bridge inspection team, you will be responsible for planning and executing the safety and fracture-critical inspections of state and locally owned bridges, preparing inspection reports, and identifying maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform field inspections, evaluate bridge conditions, and write reports
  • Identify maintenance needs and properly code the structure inspections in the owner's bridge management system
  • Perform load rating analysis and ensure timely submission of inspection documents
  • Use hand tools, ladders, under bridge inspection vehicles, and other equipment necessary for the inspection of on-system and off-system bridges

Requirements

  • Meet the criteria for NBI-qualified, Routine Bridge Inspection Team Leader
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-start
  • Excellent external and internal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills, including maintaining internal and external relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • TxDOT Pre-Certification 6.1.1, Routine Bridge Inspection Team Leader
  • TxDOT Pre-Certification 6.2.1, Complex Bridge Inspection Team Leader
  • TxDOT statewide bridge inspection experience

Compensation

The approximate compensation range for this position is $69,303 to $117,822. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
