About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commission Accounting Specialist to join our team at Gallagher. As a Commission Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our commission payment processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile commission payments received with commission statements to calculate and process commission payments.
  • Classify, examine, and analyze commission payment records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure commission templates are processed in the appropriate accounting period.
  • Research and resolve customer inquiries related to commission discrepancies and chargebacks.
  • Perform special projects as assigned by management.
  • Work under the supervision of management or more senior staff.
  • Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness, and arithmetic accuracy of account documents and make adjustments as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and 2 years of related experience or Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must understand bookkeeping/accounting principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma + 2 or more years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong data entry skills using advanced Microsoft Excel templates.
