We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Student Data Specialist to join our team at the Ocean Springs School District. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date student and teacher data in our PowerSchool and MSIS systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain student and teacher data in PowerSchool and MSIS, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate and process all data related to MSIS, including new student enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals.
- Enter courses and sections to update the Master Schedule as needed.
- Interact with the Alternative Education Center on scheduling students.
- Perform annual residency verification and reregistration requirements.
- Assist with grade updates for Alternative Education student transfers.
- Print end-of-year report cards and distribute as needed.
- Associates degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced computer skills, including MSIS and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of PowerSchool SIS.
- Commitment to student-centered learning.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and work ethic.
- Good physical condition with ability to lift 10 pounds.
This is a classified/non-exempt position, working 215 days per school year. Salary is commensurate with the Ocean Springs salary schedule for classified positions.
