Assistant General Manager Role

Zio Al's Pizza & Pasta, with 8 locations in DFW, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to lead our team. As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting daily operations, managing customer relations, and ensuring that our guests receive a top-notch dining experience.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, be able to lead by example, and possess strong knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle customer concerns professionally, and strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Ensure all team members are trained and consistently provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Order Management & Delivery Coordination:
- Oversee the order-taking process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor and track delivery orders, ensuring they are fulfilled correctly, and handle any delivery issues promptly.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers to ensure orders are dispatched on time and customer expectations are met.
- Inventory & Stock Control:
- Assist with managing inventory levels and placing orders for ingredients and supplies.
- Perform regular checks to ensure the restaurant is well-stocked and that ingredients are fresh.
- Team Leadership & Training:
- Support and supervise staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with training new staff on restaurant operations, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Help foster a positive and collaborative work environment that motivates employees.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure consistency and address any operational or food quality issues immediately.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Enforce cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local health regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen, dining area, and other restaurant spaces to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Administrative Duties:
- Assist with employee scheduling and payroll as needed.
- Handle cash, register operations, and assist with end-of-day reconciliation.
The estimated salary for this role is $52,000 per year, which includes a base salary of $42,000 and an additional $10,000 bonus based on performance.
