Clinical Studies Core Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Studies Core Manager to join our team at the College of Veterinary Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the Clinical Studies Core, supervising a team of coordinators, and providing hands-on technical assistance to projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all clinical studies run through the Clinical Studies Core
  • Ensure high-quality care for all CSC patients
  • Train and coach staff in related policies, procedures, and patient care
  • Create study budgets and work plans, track time spent on studies, and optimize resource utilization
  • Assist with generating study documents and designing SOPs
  • Coordinate multiple schedules to facilitate optimal clinical study flow
Requirements:
  • Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required; or an undergraduate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in canine/feline veterinary clinical medicine and animal handling/restraint
  • Good Clinical Practice experience and knowledge of clinical trials
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting
  • Previous supervisory experience

This is a 12-month recurring EHRA Non-Faculty position with a full-time equivalent of 1.00. The successful candidate will be required to have a valid NC driver's license and may be required to obtain a commercial driver's license.
